How to use hemp oils?

This question seems to cause a lot of difficulties for everyone acquainted with Cannabis sativa, but also for people who have already had the joy of using hemp products.

It is because the right dosage depends on many factors, e.g:

- body weight

- your metabolism

- your reason for wanting to use cannabis

- the type of hemp (extract, base oil, degree of homogenization)

Unfortunately, there is no one universal dosage, even for the same ailments of two different people. Observing one's own body and adapting the dosage to its functions seems to be the most important thing - we are looking for our "sweet spot" (the appropriate dose for you).

People embarking on their hemp adventure should start with a minimum dosage, with the knowledge that CBD works for about 6-8 hours and patience - the main mechanism of action of cannabidiol is to increase the number of our endocannabinoids, so some people achieve the desired effect only after a month of use.

Therefore, the basic recommendation is to start with, for example, 1 drop 3x a day, and then modify the number of drops every 5-7 days until the required effect is obtained.

For example:

  • 1 week - 3x1 drops

  • 2 weeks - 3x2 drops

  • 3 weeks - 3x3 drops etc. until the desired effect is achieved

Yet, of course, the way you take it may be quite different for you - people with difficulty sleeping often take their drops before bed; those before a hard stressful day, need a few drops first thing in the morning. It's up to you.

Another technique for achieving the correct dosage is called micro-dosing - on a particular day you establish a pattern of taking starting with 1 drop, after an hour you take 2 drops then after another hour you take 3 drops until you have established the right amount for you.

For example

  • 8:00 one drop

  • 9:00 two drops

  • 10:00 three drops

  • 11:00 four drops etc. until the appropriate dose is obtained.

We recommend you then record your observations in a brief form in a diary. Ask yourself the following questions:

1) Do I feel calm/peaceful and relaxed/relaxed?

2) How intense is the pain? 1-10 scale

3) Can I breathe more easily?

4) Does it feel better than before I started micro-dosing?

5) How relaxed do I feel? 1-10 scale

In such a way, between specific amounts of drops, we can easily determine whether we have achieved the desired effect. We can use such a diary in a basic scheme (e.g. 3x a day). We can also add another question e.g. if you have problems with falling asleep, waking up - Do I sleep better? If you are stressed - Do I feel less stressed?; People after a hard workout - Do I have a better recovery?

How can we take cannabinoids? There are many possibilities, which mainly depend on the form in which they occur. When it comes to oils, the preferred way is under the tongue or cheek - these places ensure fast absorption due to the strong blood circulation.

However, it is also possible to take it as an accompaniment to food or with your favourite drink - we personally recommend it with coffee.

CBD oil can also be applied directly to the skin and also in the form of suppositories if there are any problems with oral intake, this way the first-pass effect in liver metabolism is partially eliminated.

In the case of dried herb, we recommend vaporisation - i.e. heating it to a temperature at which cannabinoids are released into the air. This way, you are not exposed to tarry substances, as in the case of smoking, and the vast majority of active substances are destroyed during combustion (up to 70%).

Topical forms such as ointments and creams also play a key role in supplying cannabinoids to the places where they are most needed.

In conclusion, dosage regimens and supply methods are very individual. Each of us may have a different "sweet spot" as various as our expectations from cannabis preparations. Finding the perfect dosage allows you to gain a deeper understanding of your own body and how it responds to cannabinoids.
